Is Taran Noah Smith Really Working For Elon Musk Years After Starring On Home Improvement?

When people talk about the top ’90s sitcoms, they almost always bring up shows like Seinfeld, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Friends. While there is no doubt all of those shows are legendary, there are other ’90s sitcoms that deserve to be praised more.
A perfect example of a show that deserves to be better remembered is Home Improvement. After all, Home Improvement may not have been a critical darling, but the show was extremely popular and an entire generation of people grew up watching it weekly.
Back when Home Improvement was one of the most successful television shows, fans paid the most attention to a pair of sitcom stars. Of course, Home Improvement made Tim Allen so famous that fans began looking into his past and Jonathan Taylor Thomas became a teen heartthrob and movie star.
Most recently, Home Improvement has been back in the news due to a controversy involving two of the show’s stars, Allen and Pamela Anderson. With the renewed interest in Home Improvement, some fans have noticed that there is reason to think that one of the show’s former child stars may now be working for Elon Musk.
The Reason Fans Still Love Taran Noah Smith
When Taran Noah Smith was still a young child, he did something that millions of people all over the world dream of. Able to land a role in a hit sitcom, Smith portrayed the youngest member of Home Improvement’s Taylor family.
After rising to fame when he was so young, Smith then proceeded to grow up in front of the world. In fact, Home Improvement fans even got to see Smith go through his rebellious teen years on television.
Once Home Improvement came to an end, Smith’s personal life then started to garner headlines. After getting involved with someone who was 16 years older than him during his teen years, Smith wound up getting married to that woman.
Since Smith was so young, many of the people who’d grown to care about him during his television tenure were concerned for the former child star. Then, when Smith had public disagreements with his parents and went on to get divorced, onlookers had all the more reason to worry about Taran.
Fortunately for anyone who hoped to see Smith find happiness, he started to seem like he was finding his place in the world, which often involved fighting for the environment. Since then, Smith has taken a huge step back from the public eye, but fans are happy to see that Taran seemed to be in a good place when he left fame behind.
Is Taran Noah Smith Working For Elon Musk?
Over the last several months, Elon Musk has been in the news more than at any other time in the past. After all, ever since Musk began the process of buying Twitter and then finalized the transaction, virtually everyone who follows the news has been talking about the billionaire.
Of course, when Musk isn’t busy making news, he runs several companies that employ thousands of people. After all, Musk is the owner of the companies Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter, The Boring Company, and Neuralink.
Since so many people are employed by Musk, it would be pretty silly if the news reported on everyone who went to work for Elon. However, when reports began to surface that the former Home Improvement star Taran Noah Smith may be working for Musk, that certainly was newsworthy.
When the rumors about Smith began to spread, fans were left with two questions, why do people think that Taran works for Elon and is that true?
As of the time of this writing, there seems to be one main reason to think that Smith has gone to work for Musk.
On LinkedIn, there is an account under the name Taran Smith that lists SpaceX as the user’s current job.
According to what is written on the aforementioned user’s LinkedIn account, the account belongs to the former Home Improvement star. After all, the jobs that Smith is known to have had in real life are listed on the account including his failed food business. Most notably, the account lists “Series regular on the show “Home Improvement,” appearing in all 201 episodes” in its job history.
At the top of the page, the account’s profile includes a write-up that refers to Smith’s time as a sitcom star.
“Engineering is in my blood. My father finished building an airplane around the time I was born, and he gave me my first Makita drill when I was four years old. I don’t feel whole without at least a Leatherman in my pocket and I usually travel with a full workshop’s worth of tools wherever I go.”
The profile continues, “I was lucky enough to have a successful career as a child actor, but stopped acting once I became an adult and followed my true passion, which is to use my head, my hands, and my tools to find novel solutions to humanity’s challenges, and to create ever more effective ways to bring them into reality.”
Finally, the LinkedIn account’s photo features a man in a submarine. While the photo is blurry enough that it is somewhat hard to make out the person’s face. That said, it is well known that Smith loves riding in personal submarines. After all, there were headlines when people started spotting Smith’s personal sub in the water.
Based on everything that appears on the LinkedIn page, it certainly makes it seem like Smith is now an employee of Musk’s company SpaceX.
No matter how definitively that account seems to indicate that Smith works for Musk, there is no way to know if that is true at the moment. After all, anyone who is familiar with the internet should know how easy it is to make a fake account.
In all likelihood, Smith’s employment status won’t be confirmed anytime soon either. In the years since Smith left Home Improvement, he has been notably reluctant to talk to the press, so he likely won’t comment on the rumors. While Musk certainly isn’t shy, it would be weird if he suddenly went out of his way to confirm or deny that Smith is working for SpaceX.
