The Carbon 3ST 26 is a 2,645-square-foot, front-drive, single-family model that is currently displayed as a show home in scenic Cranston’s Riverstone. This award-winning southeast Calgary community by Brookfield Residential is near Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Bow River, giving residents quick access to natural beauty.

It has a third storey that features a bright and spacious loft that connects to a balcony through sliding glass doors. Staged with multiple pieces of outdoor furniture, this front-facing balcony reaches 13 feet six inches by 12 feet six inches.

This sets up a seamless transition, chatting with company in either space, depending on the conditions outside. It’s also easy to imagine homeowners enjoying the balcony on their own over a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning.

The loft is shown with an upscale walk-up bar and has a half bathroom.

Alternatively, the open-concept main level is set up for connections, as well.

Its design drops a spotlight on the dining area. With a well-sized window on the rear wall and tall sliding glass doors on a side wall, it fills with natural light.

Rather than sitting flush with the rear great room wall, the dining area boxes out further, making it feel important.

The great room is 15 feet by 15 feet 11 inches and boasts an elongated fireplace surrounded in stone as a focal point.

There’s seating for at least three people at the eating bar of the kitchen island. Positioned beneath pendant lighting, the island includes a sink with plenty of meal preparation space, as well.

People who like having their kitchen well-stocked will appreciate the large volume of storage in this model. This includes several cabinets with glass inserts, creating a showcase for the family’s favourite glassware.

The cooking space is shown with a stylish full-height tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances including a fridge with french doors.

An arched entry connects the kitchen to an optional walk-through butler’s pantry, which has cabinets, counters, shelves and an additional sink.

The foyer was designed with privacy in mind. Standing at the front doorway, there are no views beyond the immediate space.

On the second level, the show home demonstrates an alternate format, including a central bonus room that splits the floor into two parts. The bonus room is staged with desks on opposite walls, suggesting its use as a homework and study space.

There’s a master bedroom on one end of the second floor and three secondary bedrooms on the other.

The heads of the household have an elegant 13-foot seven inch by 13-foot space with an ensuite and attached walk-in closet. In the ensuite, there is a vanity with two sinks, glass-encased shower and soaker tub beneath a large window.

A full bathroom near the secondary bedrooms has two vanities on opposite walls. This lets two children prepare for their day simultaneously, adding valuable time to a busy morning.
