KB Home has a grand opening happening today in west Arvada that offers lower new-home prices than you’ve likely seen anywhere nearby this very popular part of the Denver-Boulder area, where lots of people wish they could live.

At Villas at Candelas, a mile west of Indiana Street on Candelas Parkway, you’ll find two new models to tour that add even more appeal to KB Home’s newest paired-home ‘Villa’ designs—a roomy ranch plan that can go to almost 2,400 sq. feet with the finished basement; and a 2,025 sq. foot family-sized 2-story, with some up-close-and-personal views of the mountains.

“If I’m going to live in Colorado, I want to see the mountains!” That’s a frequent request heard from out-of-state buyers as well as from locals.

The foothills loom big from this neighborhood, where numbers of sites have views of Standley Lake, and/or offer walkout lower levels. (Partial basements come standard with all of these plans.)

Prices start in the upper $500s.  Those out-of-state buyers compete for new homes with those from older Arvada neighborhoods—famous as places where people never want to leave, and where new home prices have gotten very expensive.

“This is an enticing neighborhood that shares lots of characteristics of older Arvada’s neighborhoods,” says Randy Carpenter, President of KB Home Colorado. “You’ll see people biking on Candelas’ trails and into the foothills.”

This is also a master-planned community with two pool-rec centers and numbers of parks close by, and a school situation that couldn’t be much better—Candelas’ Three Creeks K-thru-8, rated 8-for-10 stars at GreatSchools; and Ralston Valley High, rated 9-for-10.

These new KB Home paired designs include a ranch you’ll tour today, 1,600 sq. feet on a bright, wide-open main level, and another 700-plus sq. feet on a basement level that could be finished with an added guest suite and rec area, even as a day-lit walkout on some of these Candelas sites. It can deliver (without the walkout) from around $591,990.
